Divine events occur through the influence of the Divine, and human instruments are chosen by the Divine to execute them. Mr. Golam Rahman Mullick, a spiritual gentleman and ex-UNICEF officer, met Professor Abul Kasem Joardur, a great devotee of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. They discussed establishing an active center in Dhaka, and Prof. Abul Kasem Joardar discovered Prof. Madal K Dey, the Departmental Head of Chemistry at Central Women’s College Dhaka. They agreed to form an organizational structure, and Prof. Abul Kasem Joardar took responsibilities. The center was named “Sri Aurobindo Mandir Dhaka” in 1990, and the center was established with the blessing of the Ashram. The three founder devotees are no longer present, but the seed they sow in Dhaka for the Mother’s work grows like a tree of branches, with many people now working towards its unique goal.
